Cyclophosphamide was added in at day 14 of admission. The estimated time for cyclophosphamide to take effect is approximately 2 weeks. Therefore, all other treatments and supportive therapy have to be maintained.
His ventilatory parameters were relatively stable though he persistently had fresh blood in his ET tube. On day 18 he had a desaturations and there were raised inflammatory markers so he was treated with Piperacillin/Tazocin and Fluconazole. On day 19 of admission he had a cardiac arrest.
