    1. Bacterial:
      1. Common: strep pneumoniae, staph Aureus and
      2. community-acquired organisms e.g. Mycoplasma pneumoniae and Chlamydia.
    2. Non tuberculous and tuberculous organisms.
    3. Viral
    4. Fungal.
  2. Chemotherapy related toxicity.
  3. Interstitial edema secondary either to heart failure or an inflammatory process.
