Findings
include:
RUL consolidation with air bronchograms, bilateral interstitial and
alveolar markings, clips from previous surgery, azygous lobe, reticulo-nodular
appearance, no cardiomegaly nor obvious lymphadenopathy.
FURTHER
HISTORY
Additional investigations of complete blood count were: WBC=13,000,
66% neutrophils, 0% bands, normal platelets and normal electrolytes
and liver function tests. Immunoglobulins were not done at that time.
She was diagnosed with pneumonia and treated with antibiotics and oxygen. Although she had clinical improvement, the hypoxemia persisted. The respiratory division was consulted.
