Dr. Els de Gussem is an Assistant Professor of Pulmonology at the University of Manitoba, Canada. Her interest in HHT was sparked during her Pulmonology residency at the St. Antonius hospital in Nieuwegein, the Netherlands, which is the Dutch HHT Centre. During her residency, she had the opportunity to do a one-year fellowship at the Toronto HHT Centre under the guidance of Dr. Marie Faughnan. She was recruited as a Pulmonologist to Winnipeg, Manitoba, 13 years ago where she developed the Winnipeg HHT Centre of Excellence.
