Dr. Andrea Gershon is an associate professor at University of Toronto, Scientist and Respirologist at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and a Canadian Institutes for Health Research Investigator. Her award-winning research investigates health outcomes, health services, and drug safety and effectiveness in individuals with respiratory disease. Her research and knowledge translation program use ‘Big Data’ to learn from the real-world experiences of people with lung disease, with a focus on vulnerable groups. She has published over 120 peer-reviewed articles and her findings inform clinical care, government and non-profit organizations.
