Janine Brown, RN, PhD, CCNE
University of Regina, Saskatoon, SK
Medical assistance in dying was legalized in Canada in 2016. Since then, the health care system has developed policies, processes and best practices. There is also a very human element to working with patients, families and the care community in this space. In this presentation, Dr. Brown will share her reflections and experiences as a bedside registered nurse who worked in long-term care, as an individual who met with patients and families as an independent document witness, and as a nurse researcher.
Learning Objectives
