Island Health has a permanent opportunity for a General Respirologist to join the Division of Respirology at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital in beautiful Nanaimo, British Columbia. Working alongside two experienced Respirologists, the successful candidate will provide comprehensive respiratory care through outpatient clinics, pulmonary function test interpretation, bronchoscopy, inpatient consultations and shared respirology services.
The successful candidate will hold Royal College certification in Respirology and be eligible for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia.
Nanaimo Regional General Hospital is a 315-bed regional referral centre serving an immediate population of approximately 125,000 and a referral population of more than 350,000. The hospital offers a full range of specialty services, including advanced diagnostic imaging, rehabilitation, EEG and EMG services, and provides opportunities for teaching through its affiliation with the University of British Columbia Faculty of Medicine. Physicians may participate in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education, including the UBC Family Practice Residency Program.
