Dr. Irene Ma is a Professor of Medicine and the John A. Buchanan Chair in General Internal Medicine at the University of Calgary. She completed a one-year Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston and is certified by the Canadian Point of Care Ultrasound Society and by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Dr. Ma has a MSc in Clinical Epidemiology and a PhD in Medical Education and is the Chair and Founding Member of the Canadian Internal Medicine Ultrasound group.
