Daniel Genkin is a PhD Candidate under the supervision of Dr. Miranda Kirby at Toronto Metropolitan University, where he also completed a BEng in Biomedical Engineering. His research focuses on developing automated algorithms to extract biomarkers from thoracic CT and MRI for various lung diseases such as COPD, asthma and cystic fibrosis. Mr. Genkin has presented his work in provincial and international conferences such as the Imaging Network of Ontario, American Thoracic Society, and International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine. His research is funded by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada.
