With evolving literature, it makes it difficult to keep up with new findings and make sure we’re not missing any vulnerable populations. This session will help health care professionals identify vulnerable populations including those having respiratory conditions, at risk for hospitalization and mortality. There will be a review of the practice for common respiratory conditions such as asthma, COPD and ILD, based on current data. Finally, most frequent questions will be addressed to help Canadian physicians optimize management for their patients during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Learning objectives:
At the end of this presentation, attendees will be able to:

  1. Identify high-risk populations, including respiratory conditions for complications, hospitalization and mortality, in COVID-19
  2.  Apply an approach on protection and management for patients with respiratory conditions in COVID-19
  3. Address therapeutic questions to help Canadian health care professionals optimize therapy for their patients with respiratory conditions and COVID-19
