This session will provide an updated overview of the pneumococcal disease landscape in Canada regarding the burden of disease, who is at risk, current treatment and prevention paradigms, and a look towards the future of prophylaxis strategies.

At the end of this presentation, attendees will be able to:
- Identify high/at-risk groups for pneumococcal disease;
- Evaluate the evolution of pneumococcal disease burden with respect to serotype designation;
- Review the latest pneumococcal prophylaxis recommendations from ACIP and NACI; and
- Be aware of future risks and potential future solutions.
