HMV Webinar Series
The Home Mechanical Ventilation Assembly presents the HMV Webinar Series featuring presentations that aim to support clinicians managing patients requiring long-term home ventilatory support.
Curated by the Home Mechanical Ventilation Assembly co-chairs, Marta Kaminska and Sherri Katz, the individual webinars aim to provide an understanding of the clinical course of a patient with progressive neuromuscular disease developing chronic respiratory failure; develop an approach to evaluating patients and initiating NIV in different settings; troubleshoot NIV emergencies and alarms; understand tools for ambulatory monitoring; and, interpret ventilator download data.
In most cases the same topics are covered separately from pediatric and adult respirologist perspectives.
The views and materials presented are those of the presenter alone and do not represent or reflect the official position of the Canadian Thoracic Society (CTS).
