Dyspnea in Asthma: Digging Deeper than “Shortness of Breath”

This presentation will explore dyspnea descriptors in asthma and navigate the multifaceted contributors to dyspnea in asthma. These concepts will be illustrated as they apply to clinical cases, using a patient-centred approach.

Learning Objectives
At the end of this presentation, attendees will be able to:

• Distinguish the five descriptors of dyspnea in asthma;
• Identify which asthma-related comorbidities may be contributing to dyspnea; and
• Collaborate in the management of dyspnea in subjects with asthma based on the above.
